Wendels Guest House

Wendels is a private Guest House, situated in a quiet suburb in Lilongwe, a short distance from the City Center and all major Embassies and Businesses. We cater mainly to Business Consultants, who are wanting professional service in a homely environment. We, Thomas and Melanie, live on site and are available at all times.

Wendels has 7 en-suite rooms. All rooms have direct dial telephones, fans, complimentary tea & coffee facilities, and full mosquito protection.

Personal laundry is done on a daily basis and all rooms are serviced daily.

The lounge is situated in the main house and has a large interesting library. The television has full DSTV satellite channels & Video facilities.

The lounge is ideal for informal meetings, or for simply relaxing and reading a good book before dinner or watching the news after dinner.

Thomas is a qualified German Chef, who loves to spoil the guests.

Breakfast is a Continental Buffet with full English Breakfast ordered from the kitchen. For our American Guests - waffles are available and for our English guests - Kippers!

Lunch is a small affair, comprising mostly of toasted sandwiches around the pool or on the terrace over the weekends.

Dinners are a 3 course set menu with a salad starter, and main course ranging anything from steaks, imported fish, German Schnitzel or a good old Roast. Vegetarians are also catered for.

Guests are welcome to bring colleagues or guests home for dinner.

Wendels has a mini-office for guest use, with computer (Windows XP), e-mail, full internet, color printer and scanner. Wireless internet facilities are available.

All telephone calls are monitored by a computer and are charged accordingly. Please make note of the time difference when asking family and colleagues to phone.

Rates:

Single: US$ 95.00 per night
Double: US$ 70.00 per person p.n

Rate includes Accommodation, Breakfast and Surtax.

Payment Methods:

Regret we do NOT have credit card facilities. All other forms of payment are acceptable.
Payment may be made in Malawi Kwacha and will be converted on the day of payment.
Cash (MK, US$, EURO, ZAR and GBP) are accepted.

Travelers Cheques attract a 2% commission, also to cover bank charges.

Rates are net and are non-commissionable.
